Default shooting problems

Was checking to see if my 12 gauge shotgun was still stighted in today. I am right on at 25 yards but I move out to 50 yards and I am all over the board. What could be going on?

is the barrel rifled, if not what choke are you using. my wife had a shotgun that wouldn't put a slug on the same target twice so we sold it. good luck.

If you're shooting a smooth bore you might want to try Federal Truball slugs. Also, the more open the choke the better. At least no tighter than imp. cyl.

I've had some similiar issues in the past as well. If it was okay before, I would check everything over real well and make sure it's tight. Base, rings, etc. If it was holding zero & grouping well before, it sounds like something may have worked loose. I started using my TC Omega .50 for firearms season here in Indiana. Just because it so much more accurate than my Mossy500. That way I can just leave it set up for turkey hunting and switch out barrels if I want to hunt rabbits.

Was the slugs a box you had left from the previous year? Ive had a similar problem with the Remington rifled slugs, the newer box read : New and Improved For Better Accuracy! Which was certainly not the truth, cost me a decent 8 point buck. Seems they like to change the recipes from time to time just to keep us on our toes.
