Any recommendations for a scope for this slug gun. I would like to get a Nikon slughunter since they are on sale, but am not limited to this particular type or model.

I have that Savage 220F on my wish list.

My wish list includes topping it with a Ziess Conquest 3X-9X.

I have and love the Leupold VX-II in 3-9x40 on my Savage 220f

the VX-3 doesn't come in 3-9, you might be thinking of the VX-2

I prefer straight 4X scopes for that purpose.

I have a Slug Hunter on my 220 and it has been just dandy over the last five years. Both my Daughter and Godson have used it to kill their first bucks so it is easy to use with great eye relief. But the Leupold Ultimate Slam is equally as good or maybe even a little better. Have one of those coming for a 220 I got my Godson for his birthday that is coming up in October.
