Default Troubleshooting

I just got a Gamo Big Cat 1250. I was trying to sight it in yesterday at approx. 30 yards and was shooting 5" low. I raised the elevation 6 clicks 1 1/2" @ 100 yards because I was closer to the target and not sure how much it would elevate. Turned out to be about 2". I then increased another 6 clicks and grouped at about the same as the first adjustment and repeated another 6 clicks and still grouped at same level. I am assuming this is because I am at the gun's max range. I am correct? I was shooting the Gamo Platinum pellets that came with the gun.

5" low at 30 yards means 16.66" low at 100 yards if you were using a laser. Given the norm of 1 click equals 1/4" at 100 yards you would need approx 67 clicks to get you close. Keep adjusting until POI is where you want or until you run out of adjustment.

Thanks, I'll give it another try. Glad the ammo is cheap!
