Was going to get one of these guns for turkey season. Was wondering if any of you have any experiences with either gun.
I know they are a lower line gun, but that's whats in my budget for now.
Thanks.

I've had the opportunity to try a Maverick 88, and I gotta say I liked it. No frills, simple and streight forward firearm, essentially a hunk of metal designed to hold and fire shotgun shells, which is something I can appreciate. As for the H & R Pardner I haven't gotten my hands on one but I've heard from others that they're even simpler than the 88, and most reviews I've seen for it mention the ease of maintenance thanks to fewer moving parts. This is something I always look for in a PD/HD weapon, because simplicity = reliability. But I'm a bit put off by the aesthetics of the Pardner...it just looks wobbly? Maybe I'm picky. They both seem like great firearms for the cost. I've included links to reviews for each on youtube.
