Default Browning BLR lever action rifle?

Anyone have one of these?

How's it shoot? Which cartridge?

They look kinda cool, kinda a modern lever action... chambering modern cartridges.

and fairly light.

I have one in .308 Win. It is very accurate and light. It will shoot consistantly into 1 moa at 100 yds. That is using factory ammo. I am very pleased with mine.

I've shot two. A 7mm-08 and a .300wsm I believe. Both shot very well. The .300wsm was kept open sight, but the 7mm-08 shot about an inch at a hundred. My cousin killed a lot of deer with that. the .300wsm is new so that's why he didn't have it scoped yet.

I have one in 243 Win and my BiL has one in 308 Win that we inherited from my stepfather. I haven't used mine very much except to shoot it, and it shoots great. My BIL has taken some deer with his and likes it as a foul weather gun.

My BIL has one in .308 and he loves it. Plenty accurate and he and his boys killed a bunch of deer and antelope with it.

Had one in 308. It was a nice rifle. Should never have sold it.

My Dad had one in .358 Win that he got rid of before I knew he was even thinking about trading it and I would have loved to have got it. It had a gold plated trigger and was really pretty as well as accurate and would take a deer or hog down pronto!

I have 3....2 in .243 and 1 in .308...the .308 and one of the .243's are older Belgium made models that are probably +/- 30 years old...the other .243 is not as old and made in ***an...all three shoot very well and belonged to my grandfather and all have taken many animals. Haven't shot a newer one...but love the older ones I have.
