Default Room for another custom gun maker...?

I'm thinking of starting another business and thinking custom hunting rifles and CA legal AR's might be a decent gig to get into. Maybe do 2 or 3 rifles a month using my other smith's equipment and expertise until myself and my other buddy can do it ourselves. I'll probably buy a mill and lathe soon anyway for my other hobby, and have access to a few of them also...

I'm wondering from any smiths here, what kind of insurance do you carry, if any?

Been running the numbers and looks like I might be able to make a go at this gig...

Eh...already have over $100k wrapped up in two other business's. Might as well try my hand at another!!

I'm thinking...Stiller, MRC, or Lawton action...Broughton or Pac-nor barrels, and either McMillan, Manners or Accurate Innovations for stocks.

Just keep it a simple turn key hunting rifle, ready to go scoped out, sighted in with ammo and a hardcase.

Then the CA legal AR's would be simple to build and outfit as the customer wants.

IMO - this is where you are going to see most of your business come from !
