Weatherby: If you had to?
 

Let's assume you have all your bases covered, from .22LR to .458 Lott, a gun for every hunt/animal across the world.

You can have any weatherby rifle/caliber, which cartridge do you choose?

If other, say which cartridge.

From what I gather by ammo sales, the most popular weatherby's are currently
1. 30-378
2. 300 wby
3. 257 wby
4. 270 wby
5. 7mm wby
6. .340 wby

I only ever shot the .257 Weatherby one time. I sighted it in for my cousin who mounted a scope on it and didn't have time to go out before the season. That rifle was so fun to shoot, I couldn't put it down until all the ammo was gone.

270 Weatherby

I said .257 because I would use it more often (predators/deer).

340 weatherby, more powerful brother of the 338 win, and even though a little pricey, you will find ammo down the road for it, where as the 338RUM is getting scarce.

Weatherby vanguard sub MOA chambered in .243 Win.

If I had to have a MK IV I'd rather donate the money to RMEF.

I would get a .340 Weatherby.

I'd take the 378 Wby.

257 WBY. I already have a 300 WBY.

257 whats not to like besides the price?
