Another that would recommend talking with Mike at D-Tech..I've got 3 of his uppers including a 23" + D-tech comp. fully fluted in .204 Shilen barrel, a 20" fully fluted .223 Shilen, and a 22" + D-tech comp. fully fluted Shilen .243 wssm. As has been stated, Mike knows AR's and builds'em as good or better than most. Very knowledgeable and easy to talk to.

Most important thing on the lower is the trigger. A guy could put a piece of tape over the maker of most lowers and most of us wouldn't be able to tell who the maker was of each.

Just got off the phone with Mike at D-tech.......................

He will be building my new AR.

This will be a Christmas gift.................for myself, of course.

Have not drawn up everything as of yet, but discussed the basics.

Coyote & ground squirrel rig (Light enough to use as a walking stick also).

So, .223 flat-top with a 18" fluted Shilen match stainless barrel, 1-10 twist, free floated tube, tuned Rock River two stage trigger, stripped lower (yet to be determined), magpul telescoping stock and grips.

Thinking about putting a Vortex Viper 6.5X-20X 50MM with "dead-hold" BDC reticle on it ???

We have not written it up yet, so no idea how long the wait is going to be ?
