What' s the longest shot you' ve made with a .270 and taken game? Just courious.

about 120 yds. But the .270 is capable of way longer shots. It' s a flat shooting gun. My favorite caliber. You just can' t beat it for small deer to above average deer.

About 200 yards, a whitetail last year

Farthest would be a cow elk at 130 yards.

175, whitetail deer. I trust myself (and it, but that' s obvious) to 300.

531 yards, but it was a steel deer instead of a real one

356 yards on an antelope.
409 yards on a coyote.

With the passage of time, not necessarily real proud of either shot.

I haven' t shot anything but targets with my 270' s but my son took a doe last year. The doe was 175yds and the boy did good.

I killed a couple deer with mine at around 200-250. I shot a coyote a few years back right at 300.

I once made a one shot kill on a running whitetail at 350 yards. The 130 grain bullet hit the spinal column. The deer had been wounded by a previous shooter and the risk of taking the shot was worth it in my eyes.
