What is the gun? I hate to say it, but make sure first that it is worth it. Not all guns are restoreable, or worth it. A reputable gunsmith/ restorer would tell you. I would start by taking it to a reputable local 'smith for an overall assesment. Turnbulls has a good reputation, but for a true restoration, expect to pay plenty.
