S.A. 1911 Loaded
#1

I just purchased a S.A. 1911 Loaded

I am looking for some aftermarket polymer/rubber grips for it that are a little larger than usual. I have very large hands and so most grips don't fit my hand very well, and the slender frame of the 1911 exaggerates the issue more than usual. If anybody has some good advice, please let me know. Also, I havent read of any issues with this model 1911, but if anybody has had any, I wouldnt mind hearing about them. Better to expect a problem and get a problem, than to expect no problems and get stuck with one.

Unless something has gone completely haywire, you will have no problems with a S.A. 1911. I carried a 1911-A1 on duty until my dept. banned single action weapons for carry. You own a gun that will not fail. I still kick myself for trading mine.

My 1911 has a terrible problem....it keeps making me go thru ammo too fast.
With a quality 1911 like that just keep it clean after shooting and you should have no issues whatsoever. Amazing a design that been around since like 1904 is still so good today.
Pacmyer(cant spell) makes a thicker rubber finger grove grip for the 1911's. Im sure Brownells or Midwayusa prob sell them.
