i have a varixIII 3.5x10 x 40 that is at least 13-15 years old.never have to move the point of impact year after year.;)

One thing to think about also is that the old Vari-X II' s are now the VX-I' s and the VX-II' s are a new model in between the VX-I and Vari-X III' s. The new VX-I' s have magnesium Fluoride lens coating and friction adjustments, which is the same as the old Vari-X II' s, where the new VX-II' s have " click" adjustments and Multicoat 4 lens coatings on external lens only. You will see a difference in clarity and brightness between the VX-I and VX-II.
