If so, how do you like it?

Would you recommend one?

Thanks.

Kimber isn' t mil spec, but is what I go after or a gold cup. I have a colt gov. model that is nice. But still want the kimber also.

I was looking at the Springfield 1911 Mil-Spec as possibly an entry level 1911. It' s bare bones, at only ~$500 or so.

I was wondering if anyone else had owned one and what they were able to accomplish before and after any aftermarket upgrades.
