I have a Browning Medallion in the .270 WSM,great looking gun and well made....accurate too!Its a little fancy with the engraving and gloss walnut stock and I'm sure Browning makes another model in a plainer version.....personally I like my Browning A-bolt Hunter in the .243,no thrills matte finish stock and blued barrel!

Oh yeah...be prepared to pay a nice price for any WSM shells probably in the $35.00-$40.00 per 20 shells in a box range!

If I wanted a .270 WSM, there'd be no question.....Winchester M-70 FWT and it's in your price range.

Ditto! I'd take an FN made model 70 over pretty much anything under a thousand bucks and many rifles costing more.

I have a T3 Lite in 300 WSM, and one of my hunting buddies has the T3 Hunter in 270 WSM. Both of us are very happy with the Tikkas and both rifles shoot smaller groups than the 1 MOA guarantee.

Model 70, X-Bolt, and Savages are all good rifles and in your price range. Buy what fits you best.

Tikka does make a great rifle, I shoot a Remington XCR 700 in 270wsm and this is one nice rifle.

The Tikka T3 is a awsome gun I'd go for that if you like it.

Sako A7 Tecomate?

is either out or coming out...

not sure what it's priced at...what's a normal A7 go for?

it's got a bell/carlson stock I believe, stainless fluted barrel, 270wsm, and it's a sako A7!

I'm gonna take a serious look at it when I find out more...

Saw David Morris using one on one of his tv shows, looks very nice.
