Default Buying a 45 ACP, question...

I am planning on getting a 45 soon, and I really like the 1911 models. I found one I can get, its a Citadel. I can get it for $390. I know thats cheap and I haven't heard of them before, buI thought maybe somebody on here has or has opinions on what I should do. I can only spend about $500. Has anybody heard of these? Thanks.

Sounds like a nice basic 45 to me.

Sounds like an o.k. gun. Make sure to run at least a couple of hundred FMJ rounds through it for "break-in".

Second on this, my dad just got one I haven't had chance to shoot yet, but he is very pleased with it price vs value on it.

A friend of mine just bought one, and it has an awesome trigger. You'd never know by the feel of it that i'ts an under $500 gun.

I'm biased but I would spend a little extra cash and get a Springfield Armory 1911. They have several models and price ranges to choose from. And they have the absolute, hands-down, best warranty in the business. If you ever, ever have an issue with your weapon, they will pay overnight shipping both ways and fix your gun fast and for free. Even if the weapon is second hand or 50th hand, as long as it has Springfield Armory on it they will honor their warranty.

Thanks good info to have. Sounds like they have a policy similar to Leupold.

Yup, do some looking around. You'll be hard pressed to find a complaint about their customer service.

Default 1911 purchase options

Take a look at the STI products. They have a Spartan 1911 government that has all the bells and whistles. My gunsmith recommends it highly and when I handled it, I was convinced it would be my next 1911. Price is a mere $700.00! Check it out, you won't be sorry.
