Cool .270 or 30-06?

I am looking at buying a rifle for hunting down here in florida... Im leaning towards a remington model 700 in either .210 win or 30-06. What do yall think? and if you suggest a different rifle ill look into it.

Thanks
Brandon

Although the dead deer (or elk, moose, antelope, etc...) will never know the difference I prefer the .270 myself.

You really cannot go wrong with either cal, the .06 does give you a little more upmh if you want to go for the larger game in North America but for most hunting either cal will work just fine.

Both are great calibers but I prefer the 270 out of the two mentioned. My favorite is the 308.

I handload and prefer the 30-06. In my opinion, I can make it do anything the .270 will do and if I do need the extra "oomph", I've got it with the '06. There are many more options with the '06 when handloading as well.

I just bought a Remington 700 in 30-06,i havent shot a critter with it yet but its deadly accurate! But either one will work just fine on Florida deer. Ive used a 243 the last 2 years and killed 7 deer with it. So either will work just fine for whitetails.

.270 is perfect for Florida deer. If you think that you might make it elk hunting I would lean to the 30.06. The 30.06 offers factory rounds from 90 grain all the way to 220 grain. It is the most versitile big game rifle on the market. That being said, if I were only going to hunt whitetails, I would prefer the .270.

Why settle for either? .270 WSM!!!
or how about the 7mm-08?

that Rem. cdl-sf is pretty sweet!
or that Rem. Mtn. LSS (save a 1 lbs.)

.30-06 for the one rifle big game guy.

.270 if you're the right gun for the right game guy.
