Good Hunting to you. Wish I were going. I have done quite a bit of hunting in Canada but now its Mostly North and South Dakota. I have a small piece of deer hunting heaven in western SD. Many Mule deer and a few Whitetails.

James,
Sounds like a wonderful place to hunt! When we (the wife, kids, and I) drove to Alaska in 1992 we passed through the Badlands on the way to seeing Mount Rushmore. (Wished we could have spent more time exploring such a beautiful and intriquing place but was on our way to a new duty station at the time and trying to keep a schedule....." of sorts" .) It was in that area that a particular wild donkey and a young one approached very closely as if looking for a " handout" . We were fresh out of carrots so all we could do was look, laugh, and be careful not to hit either with the truck....they were that close to us trying to " lean in the slightly opened windows" .
Thanks for the well wishes!
P.S. After we get settled in Alaska...we are always glad for an opportunity to share good company! (We always loved showing off Alaska to family and/or friends that managed to make the trip north.)

Will keep that in mind. My land is about 30 miles north of the Badlands. All rough Cadar filled breaks. And I do mean rough. If you walked around my fence line every day you would be in shape for any Marathon.
