Default won a Henry .44 mag

I just won a Henry Golden Boy .44 mag in the local 4-H gun raffle. Just picked it up tonight, and was plannin on using it, but have had a few people tell me just to put it in the case. Would it be stupid to use the gun? I kinda figure have some fun with it, and do some shooting. More fun to shoot than just to look at. What do you guys think??

why would it be stupid to use?

thats kinda what I was thinking! Theres just a few guys around here that think of it more as a collector, but I think it'd be a fun gun to shoot and take deer hunting.

I would shoot it and just take good care of it, it's not like that particular rifle model is out of production.
