what year was the winchester model 2200 made

I believe the Mod 2200 is essentially the same as a Model 1200 with some very minor variation to the stock. I think it was made in the US for the Canadian market. The 1200's were produced between 1964-1980. I bought my 1200 in 1965. I don't believe Winchester tracks serial numbers for the 1200, I may be wrong and it won't be the first or last time that happens. Maybe someone else will have a more definitive answer on this question for you. I am shooting from the hip so to speak, but hope it helps.

and yes the 1200,1300, and 2200 are almost the same gun
