Default M70 with W on stock?

I have 2 Winchester M70 with the W's on the stocks. What years were these made and are they the lower end M70's?

I've seen the synthetic stocks with "W". Do a search by the serial number for age. I don't think any of their synthetic stocks are top notch. Usually got to go aftermarket.

One is a 7mm the other is a 270. Both have a black synthetic stocks. No sights on either. Stocks are black with checkering on foreend and pistol grip. The w is at the foreend

Sounds like the later model model production from USRAC, are they on the lower end, yes. Are they servicable, most likely. There is no way to know when they were made without the s/n. You can probably shoot USRAC an email or pick up a copy of the Shooter's Bible. The New Haven plant ceased production when was it back in 2006/2007. So your guns are ballpark 4-8 years old most likely.
