Insurance for Guns

Just wondering about insurance for guns. Any carriers that will write blanket coverage for just my guns? My homeowners has a limit of 10k for theft.

(I' m and agent and I can' t even write it for myself!!)

Any associations out there that offer excess coverage?

Thanks

The NRA has a firearm insurance program.

...I' d get a new agent immediately!!! ;)

My policy has $10,000 as well, but I figure that will cover my guns (for now[:-]). I do have a heavy duty gun safe that they are in, so I' m not that worried about it. My dad has quite a few guns that are worth some $$$, I' ll have to find out what his policy says. Newboar is correct....NRA does offer coverage as well. You might want to look into it.

Normally home owners policies include one or two firearms....up to the stated limits. However if you have 27 of them it' s considered a " collection" and must be insured separately.....usually at high rates. Most homeowners policies can have riders for collections of all kinds of things.
