Default Ruger Redhawk

I am new to the forum here and ran across it by accident.

I hope I am posting on the correct thread.

I have a Ruger Redhawk 5,5 inch blue, .44mag on order from my local dealer.

The gun has been on order since early December.

My dealer cannot tell me when the gun will be shipped and from the conversations with him, neither can his distributor.

When I check on-line, everyone seems to be out of them and they are on backorder. Bud's guns will not give an estimate of when they will again have them in stock.

I called Ruger and they of no help whatsoever.

Anyone have a clue why this particular gun is so hard to obtain?

I have two .44s. One a Model 29 Smith and Wesson and one a Dan Wesson 44v.

I had to put a deposit down just to get the gun ordered.

If my dealer or his distributor cannot deliver, why would they want a deposit.

I am not angry. . .yet, but I am getting that way.

Any advice from the members?

Thanks

Interesting. I do alot of business with buds. Kinda surprised they are so secretive.

I see em for sale at bass pro here in MD. At least a few months ago.
