I don't even think there is a basis for comparision. The Winchester is a rifle and the Tika is a Wal-martitized Americans excuse for a gun.

Get the Winchester.

The poster above that says Winchester hasn't produced a good rifle since 64 is sadly mistaken. The FN M70 is among the best factory rifles ever produced.

tikka or winchester

I have a tikka stainless synthetic in 300 wsm and it is a tack driver.I also own seven of the new FN winchesters three winchester extremes in 30-06, 300wsm, and 325wsm,two supergrades in 270 winchester and 300wsm and one sporter in 270wsm,and lastly one coyote light in 22-250 ,all are tack drivers. For the extra money I would go for the winchesters, lower budget the tikka ,all will get the job done, it depends solely on your own taste and your personal preference, regards Marc

Not taking away from the new winnie's, the world needed it back, BUT....get the tikka. I had a T3 Lite S/S in 7-08 and as long as I owned it, it was my favorite. Good trigger, bolt was smooth as silk and it shot MOA out of the box with factory ammo. It also weighed nicely when you carried it all day. Only downfall was the scope rings.
