Default Remington 700 VFS Bi-Pod Question

Hey guys, so I decided to buy myself a Rem 700 VFS for Christmas this year and I'm looking to geta Bi-pod for it! I have absolutly no experience with Bi-pods, is there any brand I should be looking into and is there any brands that will fit on the stock without any drilling? Sorry if this question seems dumb but I want to get a little heads up before i head to the Gun shop to get one or have them work on it!

Thats the rifle, do you know if one or both of the screws come off to allow the bi pod to screw in?

Harris or shooters ridge bipods. Don't take either front swivel stud out. The front one is for mounting a bipod and the rear one is for a sling.

This is the bipod I use to hunt groundhogs with my 700 VLS. I absolutely love it because I can take it on and off with a simple snap. Its super sturdy and gives me the additional height for a kneeling or sitting shot. I haven't found many places where a prone shot is feasible due to terrain contours and high grass, so this works perfect for me. I'm going to be getting a second mount for it shortly so I can use it with my Rem. 7 SS for deer and bear.

DrHouse, no need to remove the studs as most bipods simply attach/clamp themselves to the stud. They are very simple and easily installed or removed.

Harris makes a good one, they come in various heights and are available in a swivel model which IMHO is the way to go. They will help with getting the rifle level on uneven surfaces. I also prefer the notched leg version too.
