Well, I would get a X-Bolt or a Savage over a Remington any day. However, I don't know that the X-Bolt is that much better than a Savage. Depends on what you want really. If you want a accurate great rifle at a great price the Savage is the way to go. However, the Brownings look a lot nicer and that seems to be what you pay for. Either would be a wonderful choice. Just basically comes down to if it's worth the extra for the looks.

I'd shoot one if I had it Though I won't call better or worse on Rem and Savage. I've one each of Rem and Savage rifles myself, and I can't imagine a Browning being able to shoot any better. Browning always did suit my fancy for cosmetics.

I've never owned a Browning but my buddy does. I've also handled several. I think they are excellent rifles for the money. My buddies rifle is a shooter for sure.

I like the short bolt throw but I don't care for the safety style and location. Also lots of brownings have mags. I don't care for mags in a bolt rifle.

As long as you like it, they are great performing rifles that have some really nice fit and finish.
