I have a 512 Slugmaster. My advice to you is to first make sure there is no lead fouling in your bore. You will have some if you have been shooting rifled slugs or hybrid style slugs (some lightfields, some brennekes, Remington Buckhammers) as opposed to sabot slugs. So clean the bore properly.

My gun seems to prefer sabot slugs with velocity less than 1700 fps. I am shooting Brenneke KO Sabot slugs now and they are awesome. I've never had a deer take a step. I've also used Winchester BRI-style sabots and they shoot real well. Tried Hornady H2K and they were all over the place.

i used to have one and shot lightfields out of mine and they flew awesome!

thanks i cleaned bore propely when i got it sat. shot 1 box of fussion's and they were going ok i guess.. like to get better group

At 50 yds, the holes are touching with the KO Sabots. That's all I need.

What kind of group are you getting? What is the quoted velocity of those slugs?

Slug sight-in is generally done at 50 yds to minimize the effects of the wind.

did not know that i should sight in slugs @ 50 still kinda wet behind ears first slug gun the fusion were all about 1/2 away @100 not sure of velosity
