Real or not is not the issue. Even accepting that it is Hollywood, there is no good reason for this, not even movie-making.

I don't know how old you are, but I've been around the fight for the 2nd Amendment long enough to know 1) a scene like this can only hurt us, real or not and 2) even it were funny, the amount of humor to be derived is not worth the trouble this can cause.

Actually, my quote is directly from the talk the CO of the 1st Marine Division gave his troops before heading into Iraq. Besides that, I haven't put it in a movie for the grass eaters to see, although I admit they could find it here if they looked hard enough. To take it a step further and apply it to civilian life, although I said plan to kill everyone you meet, I didn't say to do it with GUNS.

I agree Tom but that's why shows are rated. If someone let's their 2 year old watch this it could affect them in the long run.

However, I grew up on the Rifleman, Have Gun Will Travel and every Clint Eastwood movie. They only affected me for the better.

I think a lot of people on this site are way to politically correct. We had a blast with this post on my AR 15 forum. Not one polliticaly correct statement. Everyone took it for what it is, MAKE BELIEVE!! It's a movie for crying out loud!!! I can't wait to see it, and no, I won't let my 2 year old watch it.

Here is the big issue with this stuff. Everyone takes everything out of context. your quote sounds kind of far right gun totting crazy but in the original context it makes sense. Kind of like the movie maybe when you watch it it will make sense. Though I think it will come back to bite us all in *** at some point. Heck properly be cage sitting there crying because some kid shot his little sister because he thought his daddy's tactical vest was bulletproof.
