I would only add that you'd be wise to check your state and local regulations regarding hunting with the AR. Some states have regs regarding magazine capacity of semi-auto weapons. If so, make sure your AR is appropriately configured before you go into the woods. It'd suck to get a ticket because you went deer hunting with a 20 round magazine and the regs say 5 round mags max. It's a minor ticket, but why chance it at all?

If you already have an AR, just put a different upper on it and go hunting...

sold it a few years ago. my intent was to got to 7.62 or 308. Which are the same thing from what i have been told. Just have waited so long.
