A little trivia for the gun experts
What was the only other caliber of the German Luger used by the German army during WWI & WWII besides 9mm? There were only two Lugars made in this caliber.

2 Lugers were made in 45 ACP for evaluation by the U.S. military. Serial numbers 1 and 2. It is thought that serial number 1 was completely destroyed in the tests making serial number 2 the only Luger in a cartridge other than 9mm.

No, but I did stay in a Holiday Inn Express last night and watched Tales of the Gun.

I think it was a 7.62 cal and not very many were made. Thats my guess, Zeak.

I maybe wrong but I think it was the .30 Luger

Yup, it was the 45 ACP. About 10-15 years ago either Shooting Times or Guns & Ammo did a article on it. The cover read something like ...Shooting a Million Dollar Luger, if memory serves me right they did fire the gun for the piece.
