Default Nikon Monarch Users...

I'm considering purchasing a 5-20x 44mm Monarch scope. I'm curious to know what height rings guys are using. I'll be mounting it on a Remington Stainless Sendero.

I'd guess you can use medium. You can always exchange them if they're too short. That's going to be a great setup.

I'm trying to stay as low as i can. I just took a 50mm VariX III off of it, just to high for me. I may end up with a 40mm scope instead to keep low mounts so I can get a good cheek weld on the stock.

Thinking of using Talley mounts also. I wont' get to call them till tomorrow, so if anyone has any experience with this scope/mounts I'd like to hear from you.

Call Talley Manufacturing (803) 854-5700. They make the best rings out there and can tell you anything you want to know. Their customer service is insane. Check out their website. Top notch quality.

I'd say Medium. It really depends on the bend of your bolt handle.

These are Copper M22's, they do have a heavy straight contour barrel.on them. My other M22's have 30mm tubes so are no help.

This is the best that I can do with something simular.
Both the Leupold and Talley rings are in medium height and the scopes are the Nikon 5x20x44. You can see the clearance between the objective bell and barrel.

I did not measure the heights of the rings nor the clearance but hope this helps.
