i love 30-06 but if the gun dont fit ya u ain't going to like it i buy and trade a lot of guns if they dont fit u theyget rid of it. the 870 shotguns don't fit me but a mossbreg does and a rem 700 fits me but a mossbreg atr don't it all in what u like and if u don't like it sell it or trade it for a diff one if u like it keep it that's all the help i can give u

Seeing as how they are all pretty similar and pretty versital cartridges, I'm going to agree with all the others and say its pretty much how they fit. I've got a 700 in a 243 win that I've had for the better part of 20 years and it still shoots great, but my favorite cartridge for deer is a .270 (got a ruger M77 in 270 win). So go and shoulder em all and see which one you wanna get. Personally, if this rifle is for deer sized game only then I would go 270. If you plan to use it for bigger definately look at the 308 or 30 -06. Anyway you go I think you're gonna be pleased.

Just got the tikka t3 hunter in 3006. When shooting from 50 yards i became very disapointed to notice only one of my 3 shots hit the target. When i walked down to see what the hell happened i became very pleased with the fact they all whent in the same hole. hahahahahhah. (what a feeling)

Accuracy is up to you...............it's called practice.



Any of those guns will out shoot you.



I'd go for the .270 depending on how big the game is.

My vote would be for the Model 7 in 308.. I have one in 243 and also had one in 7mm-08.. They are some kind of nice.. And easy to handle as well
