I did a little research before I bought the 22-250. I was on the fence for quite a while. 25.06, 22-250, .243, .223 and so on. I know its a ruff road that im going down. I knew the job was dangerous before I took it. Right now the rifle is totally stock with the exception of the optics and bipod. I know I will need a faster twist rate to stabelize a heavier bullet. I plan to bed it and I may get a trigger job as well. Everything yall are teaching me is much appreciated. Right now my grouping varies from a 1" to a 1 1/2" MOA @ 100yds. with an occasional clover. Has to be operator error. I cant miss a milk jug out to 400yds but i know I will lose power the further down range I get. I guess I am wanting to eliminate all variables and if I miss my mark, its shooter error and not the rifles fault. A poor carpenter blames his tools. I dont think a 300-400 yard shot is a long shot myself. But I know 800-1000 is. I know it all comes with a price tag and I am willing to invest what it takes to get the rifle up to snuff, then the rest is up to me. Thanks again.
