Anyone shoot a Browning X-Bolt?
#1

Im looking for a real nice gun for my girlfriend. She has a Remington Model 710 but doesnt like it, she wants a nice wood stock. I found the Browning X-Bolt (specifically Micro Hunter) and that looks like a really nice gun. Does anyone have any experience with this gun or any X-Bolt models?
Also, im just curious, whats the difference between a 7MM and 7MM-08?

Almost any rifle is a step up from the POS 710.As far a 7mm goes,it does not stipulate any particular cartridge. There are many 7mm cartridges including the 7mm-08,the 7x57,the 280rem,the 7mmremmag,7mmwsm,7mmwby,7mmstw,7mmRUM etc.
The 7mm-08 is a short action cartridge using a 284" bullet that has mild recoil, and decent ballistics.

She wants something that doesnt kick real hard, but will also be big enough for if some day we want to maybe go on a big elk hunt or something. Will that still work?
