Interested in the new Ruger 44 mag bolt action rifle for tree stand deer hunting in Pa. Does anyone know if the Garrett 310gn ammo can cycle through the clip on the rifle. I curently use the Garrett inmy SRH, and would like to use the same ammo in the rifle...thanks in advance for any replies....

I'm not sure on the OAL of the garret 310 gr ammo but it SHOULD feed ok IF the OAL is within specs. I'm wondering why in heck you need a bear bullet on deer?

My bad, I should have been more clear. I also hunt black bear during the 3 day bear season and have used the Garrett ammo in the SRH. Would like to use the 77/44 for bear also, and thats why I'm asking if the Garrett ammo will work in the 77/44. But, I mostly hunt deer, and use the Fusion 240gn ammo out of the SRH.

Measure the overall length of both. If the 310 gr ammo is not much longer it'll work in the rifle. The BEST way of finding out for sure BEFORE you buy the rifle is to see if your heavier ammo will function & fit in the magazine of the rifle. If it fits & functions in the magazine, it'll fit. The magazine will be the determining factor because it'll also be the shortest.
