Painted Another Stock Tonight

My buddy brought his Winchester over tonight for an overhaul. I think it turned out great and the stainless really sets it off.

After

I am getting the hang of this.

How did you get into this?

My deer rifle is about the same color are you're friends was. I want to get a new stock for my gun but I never thought about getting it painted.

How did you get into this?

My deer rifle is about the same color are you're friends was. I want to get a new stock for my gun but I never thought about getting it painted.
I decided to give it a try and liked the results.

Here are a couple I have done. My squirrel gun I took coyote hunting.

That's pretty cool. I'll have to do some research and give it a try sometime.

what process did you use. tan or pink krylon then spray over with the black krylon webbing paint then poly or acrylic clear coat? looks awesome!

That sums it up. It really is quite simple.

ACLackey good to see you getting your feet wet, nothing like giving a rifle a face lift, good job.:D

Krylon is a cheap way to paint a firearm though it's not as durable as Ceracoat and Duracoat. It's easy to apply an inexpensive to boot. A good matte clear coat it a must to help it last longer. Here is a custom Remington I have beenrattle canningdifferent schemes on for years, sorta a guinea pig if you will.

Krylon Special...

Here's one done in Duracoat...
