If you were gonna get any .375 other than an H&H I would say it would have to be a .375 Ruger, personally I think the .416 Ruger is the Ruger to get...the H&H is too successful.

I wish we could email Winchester....I haven't found a way to yet, and tell them build a M70 in .375H&H, .416Ruger or Rigby, and in .458 Lott.

I know this tends to not be a big part of the rifle market, but for Winchester everyone seems to want a new M70 in a big bore...

I agree with you Ron, get a controlled feed...I almost bought that talkeetna in the fall for a buffalo hunt, ended up just using the .340wby. I just wish that stock color wasn't so blueish grey, perhaps you can do an aftermarket job to it, but for that price I wish it was perfect from the get go. Funny how its always the little things that turn you off to something...

btw when/if winchester does finally start making some M70 big bores....they'll probably lack something I consider a "requirement"

Although I like Remington rifles (my .416 is a Remington) I think I need a controlled round feed on this rifle. Push feed actions arewhat Ilikefor things that don't bite back (up to and including bears). On this hunt Imay want to load rounds into the chamber with great reliability while I am in an excited state. That .375 RUM appears to be a very stout cartridge, but the .375 H&H will make more sense for mein this rifle.
Have you thought about a double rifle? Or an older Model 70 in .375 H&H?

Doesn't Browning make a 375 H&H in their stainless stalker?

Ron You can probably find a Model 70 on gunsamerica or gunbroker. You may want to check it out.
