GOOD COYOTE/DEER GUN
#1
I have a 300 win mag, but am looking for a smaller load to hunt blacktails, pronghorns, and possibly coyotes. I don't know much about rifles, the 300 was given to me, I mostly bowhunt. I'd like something flat shooting, someone suggested a 25-06, or 30-06. Any help would be much appreciated.

Although a 25- or 30-06 would work well for the blacktails and pronghorns, you might tare up your coyotes pretty bad with either. You might want to look at a .243.

Do you plan on selling the pelts from any coyote you shoot, or are you just looking for a little pest control? The .243 Win would suit you well, but I'd lean toward the 25-06 personally. It'll do more damage to a coyote pelt, but there are loads available with tough bullets that will minimize this with the .25-06. It'll knock 'em dead WAYYYY out there too, if long shots are your thing.
