I've been out of the shooting loop for about a good year and a halfbut I'm making a renewedeffortto get back into it.
Ammo and reloading supplies have skyrocketed, if you can even find them. A cruise thru Midway's website and they pretty much have no brass in stock for any popular handgun calibers, and bulet selection is almost as bad.
What did I miss? I heard a little bit of talk about people buying guns with a liberal pres headed to office. But what happened to availability?

I guess the gun store commandos are stocking up for the big one.

At least I'll know where to get it if it all falls down.....

Call me paranoid ,but this stuff is scary. I just dropped 330$ for 700 rnds of decent 223 ball ammo and I consider myself lucky to find it. None of the major catalog companies have any at all. Same w/ reloading components too, just about everything is drying up, fast! Even powder.
I figure I can feed my 7-08 for the next 10 years, if I dont waste much, but what about after that? I wonder if well be able to buy ammo at all in the future [:@]

223 hardball makes a little sense due to the war....
too danged expensive to do much shooting these days i know that much....dad and i used to shoot pistols atleast once a week....usually took some of the rifles atleast once a month..now, its so bad if we dont need to shoot, we dont...except on a blue moon...still shoot the pistols to stay in tune but not near like we used to...

So if the "big day" that the those with an itchy trigger finger are waiting for comes, you think someone is going to ask?
Kinda like the scmuck from the "Citizens Defense League" that decided to berate those waiting in line a the gun show this last weekend. "quit waiting for someone to do it for you, YOU need to join us"
Sure, and now you know why I.D.P.A is pathetic. As for IPSC, try 500 rounds a week.....

thanks obama , biden, schumer, hillary, pelosi.
It might be tough to get our guns, but they seem to be doing a fair job of making it too costly to feed 'em.
sad state of affairs. and it's going to get worse.

The price of ammo went up because commodities went up, the price of certain guns went up because of fear and speculation.
