RE: Tactical scope for 25-06??
PS, you got the grief because you used the word tactical, which is becoming the most over used and misunderstood word in the human language. If you mean deer hunting, say it. If you mean people hunting, say it.

RE: Tactical scope for 25-06??
ORIGINAL: nksmfamjp You would be better off looking at a multiline or multi dot reticle and looking at the distance between the lines on the highest magnification. Use that combined with your loads drop chart to determine what each line is in yardage terms. Figure your drop in MOA. Buy a standard tactical scope. Laminate the drop chart in packing tape and tape it to your stock done. BTW, show me where tactical = killing people. That's an ignorant and purposefully inflammatory comment. Jeeps are tactical by definition too. |

Just for clarity. . .Tactical definition How does this help ask the question? Back to lined scopes. Some people prefer lines. I prefer drop/windage chart and knobs. I still see the use of the dots on my mildot scope. Still, I prefer turning the knobs. I do the charts in MOA and mils, in case the dots give me a tactical advantage. |
