For me it is the .44 Magnum. I think the .454 Casull has too much recoil and has way too much muzzle blast. If I need more power than a .44 Magnum, I' ll use a rifle instead. I have no problem handling a Marlin Guide Gun in .45-70 with 405g bullets going 1800 fps. That is more power than any revolver can provide.

Corbon is making some 500 S&W loads that can arguably provide more power.

' Cause everyone needs a pistol more powerful than a 45-70.
