I' m looking for a message board a lot like this one in set up and such, but is more predominately about handgun hunting (not about NRA matches and only 1911' s like most I' ve found). Anyone know of any good ones??

Honestly I don' t see a need for another forum here. The ones we have are so cluttered with off topic stuff now that it isn' t even funny. Look at the Firearms review Forum. See any reviews in there? A handgun forum here would be just another extension of the guns forum.

There' s a lot of off topic stuff here because there isn' t enough new people coming in to keep things new, we' ve all debated everything into the dirt. HOWEVER, I' ve tried on several occasions to start viable handgun threads, to no avail, maybe if this board offered something to avid handgunners, they' d draw in more of a croud?

Yep, I remember some of those attempts. I am sure most of us here are familiar with handguns, but not what you would probably consider " avid" . To me handguns are a tool and mine are for a job I hope I never have to do. Where I hunt we can' t use handguns.

maybe someone needs to start provacative threads. just something to get it going. though like you said most people arent avid handgunners. the sixgunner forums have lots of topics and i drop by there often as well

I' ve almost stopped checking this forum ever since I found http://www.accuratereloading.com . The topics there are very well organized. There is a handgun hunting forum, a pistol shooting forum, and many others. Remember to say hello when you get there.
