Browning model 71 High Grade
I have been looking at one and I' m considering buying it . Is anyone here familiar with this gun and know anything of the value . Its new in box . I do know its hard to find 348 win ammo.

i too was interested in the model 71 ( browning made ) hi-grade. had pheasants on the side of the one i looked at. action was real smooth and felt great to shoulder.
i have heard the only downfall is thqat you cannot put a scope on it. unless you have it mounted off the side. but the one i looked at was going for $1,100.00 used 98% a gentleman had it and sold it back to the original seller cause times where hard for money and he would not take a beatiful and expensive gun into the woods.
i have seen several others going up to $1,300.00 for them .

This would be more of a collectors gun than a shooter Quilly . There was only 3000 of them made in the rifle and 3000 of the carbine . New in box is not even listed in the gun books . Its part of a upcoming auction and I was trying to get a idea of what they are going for . Thanks for the reply .
