I have a Sako 75 7mmSTW. Heck of a rifle. I am getting 3300fps with a 160gr accubond and RL22. Not bad.

Big bucks if you reload I would go for the STW. It gives you a significant step up from the 25/06 and 6.5-284 so you could have a dedicated big game rifle and use the others for deer coyotes etc.

Just a suggestion but why not go with the 7mm RUM? It has more case capacity, will fit in any rifle chambered for stw, easy rechamber, and sans the belt.

I think its the other way around jeep. I have about 500 pieces of brand new brass. But most was given to me by oldelkhunter. Seems everyone is scrambling to get RUM brass these days. Its in short supply and expensive.
I also have a brand new spare sako barrel. When that sake scare went about a few years ago, a few nervious nellies changed out thier brand new STW barrels and I picked em up for 50 a pop. So even though she is a barrel burner, I got a spare.

7mm STW is much better than the 7mm Rum in my opinion. For several reasons in contradiction to other post already made above?
Consult a good ballistic and or loading data reference manual, and I believe you will concurr with my opinion?
