7mm STW is much better than the 7mm Rum in my opinion. For several reasons in contradiction to other post already made above?
Consult a good ballistic and or loading data reference manual, and I believe you will concurr with my opinion?
Having owned both the 7mmstw,and 7mmRUM,and having loaded for several rifles in both chamberings,the 7mm RUM does produce 50fps to 75fps more on average with the same bullets.However,I myself prefer the 7mmstw.

I have 2 rifles in 7mm STW a Sako TRG-S and a Remington Sendero both are excellent shooters you will not be disappointed in the round my favorite saying when describing the 7mm STW is bad ass wicked chad
