RE: 25 wssm?

Well i hate to say this but i know a guy that just got back from Canada and took hi 25WSSM there for Caribou. He dropped 2 of them with it. 1 at 65 yards and 1 at 90 yards. The one at 90 yards dropped in its tracks and the 1 at 65 yards ran about 100 yards before falling.

RE: 25 wssm?

I won one (.25 wssm) a couple of years ago. Have been hunting with it for the last 2 years. Nice little gun, I've taken 3 bucks with it and all 3 dropped in their tracks. Ammo is the only hang-up that I have found, everytime I go to Cabelas I buy a box. (Pretty well stocked in that dept) The guys I hunt with rib me about shooting such a small cal., I just don't know yet how dead they have to be, is usually my response.

RE: 25 wssm?

One of my customers, who happens to be one of the best gunsmiths I know as well, built a .25 WSSM just so to show it could be an accurate cartridge. He loves it, routinely prints .2's and .3's with what he calls "throw together" handloads (strait up book loads with precious little tweaking and done with $30 dies).

--Ridge, you'd love this guy, he specializes in the Ultra Mags, if I didn't know better your nasty 7mm could very easily have come from his shop. He does wonderous things with the RUM's. Got my eye on a 338 Ultra from him probably 2 yrs down the road, my own personal shoulder-fired ICBM ;-)
