I am looking for help in choosig a new rifle. I have decided on a 270wsm caliber but am having trouble sorting out the wheat from the chaff when deciding on the brand. Any suggestions out there???

Actually,it's going to be hard to make a bad choice with today's rifles as I know the junk remington model 710/770 isn't chambered in that cartridge. My own personal choice however is browning a-bolt/x-bolt.

The Browning is going to be the lightset you can get if you have the $1200 to spend on the rifle. Next would be a Tikka T3 Lite. They are also extremely light, well built, and very accurate. They run around $550.

well my 6.5 wsm started life as a .270 wsm and i will prolly build my next rifle in .270 wsm. the weatherby vangaurd is a great rifle to get in the wsm but the darn things walk for the first 100 shots

My bro got the x-bolt in 270 WSM, in my search for a new rifle, it is going to be hard to choose against that one. He got the medallion, and it is pretty, nice trigger, the buttpad is very nice, and it shoots great. I don't know if I have heard anything bad about these rifles, but as mentioned before, you probably will be happy with whatever you decide on, I dont think there are many bad rifles that chamber 270 wsm.
