Default Bad Bull muzzleloaders?

Any of you saw them or shot them yet?

They use smokeless powder and push a 275gr 45cal bullet over 3000fps!

It's just my opinion, but I kinda think that defeats the whole purpose of using a muzzleloader in the 1st place. The main reason I use muzzleloader is I lost that magical feeling of being excited about shooting deer with a high power rifle long ago. Also I don't see many people spending that kind of money on a muzzleloader-not to mention the recoil it has to have-even with the muzzlebreak. I'll stick with shorter range muzzleloaders personally.

Pretty impressive balistics, I thought My savage10ml was a bad daddy, pushing a 250 grain shockwave at 2350.

That said Im skeptical that many ML bullets, let alone sabots currently being made, can handle that kind of velocity.

Take a look at this 250 gr bonded shockwave, I dug out of a doe last year. I only load it to about 2000fps, I cant imagine it would have held up at 3000fps!

Looks like a Ruger No. 1 action there. My Ruger 45/70 will not produce the kind of ballistics they claim. But it WILL fire a 400-grain bullet at 2270 FPS @ 10' from the muzzle. And when doing so, will hit YOU with 58 foot-pounds of recoil. When shooting from the bench, I have to loop the forefinger of my left hand over the barrel just to hold it down on the sandbag!

To the Big Bull, I say NEIN, DANKE SEHR!!
