Might be tough trade! The 257 pre 64's are running high, the 264 is not easy to come by either but the 257 is much more user friendly.I had a hard time building a load for my 264 but now I have them it's shooter...just slaps so hard.Be easier to maybe find a 270 pre 64!My dad just had a 270 barrel put on a 243 action(feather weight) since he likes them to have as a shooter.

Don't have the powder info handy but the thing with the 264 is it takess such small changes to throw them into a tailspin! We have some old dual diameter 140 grain bullet, they were Winchester manufacture so they are not made anymore.I had the same bullet loaded in 2 different brand cases and it scattered them! I don't know if all were like mine but you could change one component brand and you could tell on the group.I bought a box of factory 100 grain shells just to shoot for the cases,at 100 yards I would be lucky to hit a deer with them verses my 140 gr reloads, and my reloads are very consistant 1/2" groups! Now I know why the 7mm Mag took off.The Remington had better bullet selection and mo betta consistancy! No way would I run out of my pet load and hope I could buy a factory box and go hunting without resiting.I can get the loads out of the book in safe if you want to try them!
