Default Handgun ammo

what kind of handgun ammo for 357 mag is best for protection from black bears, wolves, and cats while bowhunting? ive heard jacketed hollow points are no good and that should use hardcast bullets only. Are Cor-Bon bullets good? or the hornady brand? give me some thoughts on this.[]

Default RE: Handgun ammo

I usa a 44 mag but the bullet choices should be close to the same. Use a Hardcast bullet or a Jacketed Soft Point. I use Jacketed Soft Point in my 44. Theya re very similar to a hollow point but they are completely filled with lead and have a flat point. I tryed hollow points a few times and the rounds i use have alot more power. I shoot magtech ammo in it.
