Elite Scopes
 

Has anyone had any experience with Bushnell Elite 3200 or Bausch & Lomb Elite 3000 scopes, good or bad?

I have had an Elite 3200 for about three years and it is still very clear and accurate albeit I have taken very good care of it.

Although I hunt with swarovski' s I do own two elite 3000' s myself(the 3200' s are updated 3000' s) and several friends own 3000' s ,3200' s and 4000' s and 4200' s.To date there have been no problems with any of these scopes.I actually find them brighter than any other scope in their price range.

I agree in their price range the elites 3200 is hard to beat. I have owned a B&L 3000, still own a 3200 and a 4200, been perfectly fine in my experience.

I have a 3000. I agree that for the money, they are hard to beat in clarity. Mine did breakdown though on a .338 Win. Sent it in, repaired and returned free of charge and very quickly, Bushnell has a good customer service in my opinion.

Nothing but good to say on the Bushnell elites both 3200/4200 series.They are bright and clear and have a bullet proof warranty that covers them for life no reciept required.I think they are the best scopes in their price range.Own a 3000 and a 4200 and happy with both.

I had a 3200 on my .300 Weatherby and after 30-40 rounds through it the crosshairs broke...[:@]

Yeh, I know here come the funny looks. I just bought an Elite 3200 5x15x50 for my groundhog gun and honestly the optics were brighter and crisper than the leupolds that cost up to $100 more. In my opinion the best bang for the buck with the lifetime warranty.

Dollar for Dollar, you will not find anything much better then the Elite series. Great Scopes!!

Hey no funny looks from me,I can tell you for sure the 4200 is brighter and clearer than the Vari X lll' s.Was focusing my scopes the other day from the bench and used a winchester ammo box at 100yds.I like to fine tune the focus at 100yds where parallax is set and its finer to me than just pointing at the sky and making the reticle sharp.When you focus on print you can see minor changes in focus quite quickly,anyhow I put my conquest and vari x lll and just arrived 4200 all on 10X and tried to read the printing on the box.All three read the logo print fine once focused but I was surprised to see the 4200 sould read the next level of finer print that the other two could not.That night as dark came I picked a branch out in the woods behind the field about 160yds away and watched it with alternating scopes as the light failed.The vari x lll lost the limb first and 5 minutes later the 4200 also lost it.The conquest lasted one more minute and a half and it couldn' t pick it out anymore either,now considering the conquest has a 44mm obj. and the other two have 40mm I would say its a dead heat between the conquest and the 4200 elite for brightness to my eyes and its clearer than both to boot.I think with the latest coatings and lenses the difference between the premium scopes is getting less and less.But I will say the elites are heavier and have closer to a true 3" of eye relief,something to consider when mounting on a hard kicker.Just my 2 cents.
